Linda Burrier, Director

Director since her children attended Chapel School in 1993, Ms. Linda is happiest when she is leading our daily Chapel Time.  She has been an active member of Memorial Lutheran Church since 1986 and has taught first-year confirmation classes for more than 10 years and sings in the Contemporary Choir.  She is a member of the National Board of the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association representing Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi & the Bahamas. 

Monica Hicks, Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Hicks is a former parent and certified elementary teacher who has taught our kindergarten since 2007 and also coordinates our elementary curriculum.  Mrs. Hicks is an innovative teacher with a wonderful sense of each child in her classroom.  Mrs. Hicks is also a member of Memorial Lutheran Church where she is the Director of Christian Education. 

Marie Klingner, Preschool Teacher

Every one of Ms. Marie’s five children came to our school and she has been teaching at MLCS since 1996.  Her understanding of the High/Scope curriculum as well as her warmth and kindness has made her a huge asset to our program.

Jamie Dininny, Preschool Teacher & Elementary Art Teacher

Ms. Jamie is a past parent and Chapel School Board member who has been teaching since 2007.  Her great sense of humor, fun personality and creative energy make her an ideal teacher for all ages!

Emily Byrd, First Grade Teacher

Mrs. Byrd is a fun and energetic certified elementary teacher with a background in the Montessori approach to education.  She also runs our “KinderFit” physical education program at Chapel School.

Karim Zaharias, Elementary Spanish

Mrs. Zaharias is from Cali, Columbia where she taught Spanish for many years.  She has been teaching at MLCS since the fall of 2008 and is the parent of an elementary student at our school.

Carol Carberry, Preschool Teacher

Ms. Carol is our newest staff member and teaches our K-4 VPK-B class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She is a certified elementary teacher, a past parent and also works with students from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.
